In the spirit of Earth Day, there are so many ways you can give back to the planet and contribute to the earth’s wellness. Take some time out of your day to clean up, recycle or follow these tips to make the Earth a healthier place.

Start a carpool

Start this practice when we are no longer in quarantine! Driving puts a fair amount of pollution into the environment. If you and a group of friends are heading to the same place, eliminate the need for multiple cars and drive together.

Walk more

Cut back on gas consumption and down the street to pick up your morning coffee.

Take shorter showers

We all love to spend as much time as possible relaxing in the shower, but it is important to conserve water. Cut back on your shower time by five to 10 minutes to help.

Clean smart

It is important to clean, but it is also important to use the right cleaning products. Find supplies that get the job done but don’t harm the environment. Look for all purpose cleaners like Biokleen that aren’t loaded with harmful chemicals.

Recycle

We’ve heard this one before. Take your plastic water bottles and cans out to the recycling bins instead of throwing them down the chute. You’d be surprised at how big of an impact this can make overtime for the earth’s wellness.

Use reusable items

Forget the plastic water bottles and disposable dishes. Carry a reusable water bottle and try to use dishes and plastic storage containers instead of paper plates and plastic bags.

Change your light bulbs

Make your living space more energy efficient by switching to eco-friendly light bulbs. According to Science.com, compact fluorescent light bulbs last 10 times longer and use two-thirds less energy than standard light bulbs.
