National Doughnut Day is this Friday, June 5! To celebrate the day, many doughnut shops are offering free doughnuts to patrons or special offers. We have a list of local places who are offering deals this Friday so you can celebrate, too!
Krispy Kreme
This popular spot starting giving out free doughnuts on Monday to celebrate the whole week! You can go and get any Krispy Kreme doughnut for free all week until Friday, and there is no purchase necessary. It is limited to one free doughnut per person, though. *Sigh*
Dunkin’
This Friday, Dunkin’ will give you a free doughnut with the purchase of any beverage! You can choose from any classic doughnut, so get ready to make a hard decision!
Halo Potato Donuts
This beloved local gem has both a main store located on South Main Street in Gainesville and a food truck that takes delicious potato doughnuts around town! Halo will be celebrating National Doughnut Day all weekend from Friday to Sunday with special prizes, t-shirts and a chance to win Halo merchandise.
“On Friday, our shop will choose random bags and boxes to throw surprise goodies into (this includes stickers, keychains, and maybe even some extra free donuts!)” according to Halo’s Instagram. “On Saturday and Sunday, we will have a spin the wheel going! If you find a colored sticker inside your box or bag, you’ll have a chance at spinning the wheel! Prizes include Halo merchandise, as well as gift cards and merch to local businesses (think of it, like finding the golden ticket!)”
