Starting on December 7, the University of Florida will host the 2020 Poinsettia Sale! There will be 4,500 plants for sale, with over 50 unique varieties available.
This year, customers have to make an appointment to shop from December 7-11. Appointments are about 20 minutes long, and you can bring three guests with you. You can click here to schedule an appointment.
“Drive-thru sales will be December 12 and 13,” according to a press release. “While appointments are not necessary for the drive-thru, there is no guarantee that all varieties will still be available.”
The proceeds from the 2020 Poinsettia Sale will go to support the members of the UF Environmental Horticulture Club’s trips to learn more about horticulture around the world.
“Learning skills from a hands-on club is so important, especially now that most classes are online,” said Corrina Vuillequez, a College of Agricultural and Life Sciences plant science student and president of the Environmental Horticulture Club in a press release. “Many students, myself included, depend on the Environmental Horticulture Club for volunteer opportunities, gaining horticultural skills and connecting with others in the field.”
