By now, you’ve heard that Alachua county has put stay-at-home orders in place as of 12:01 am, March 24th, meaning that only essential businesses are still open and many of them have changed their hours. However, while Florida state parks are all closed, “individuals may go to public parks and open outdoor recreation areas,” according to page 2 of the Emergency Order 2020-19.

As long as you’re complying with “social distancing, limiting gatherings to no more than 10 people, and all other measures as advised by the CDC,” you can still go to public parks, according to Emergency Order 2020-19.
