Just because you can’t head to the gym, doesn’t mean your furry friend can’t! You can still exercise your pet while quarantining!
For smaller animals like cats and little dogs, try playing games with them to get them moving. Don’t believe dog people when they say cats don’t play! Grab their favorite toy, whether it be a stuffed animal or a pipe-cleaner (I don’t know, cats are weird, okay?) and get them running around the house.
Motivate them with a new toy or their favorite treat. Dogs can gnaw on the same bone for hours or spend days trying to tear apart the new squeaky-toy you got them. Give them a new distraction and get back to working from home!
If you want to get out of the house, take your pup for a walk. As long as you’re practicing social distancing and staying at least 6 feet apart from any other dog walkers, you should be just fine!
