For over 30 years, PBS has produced the National Memorial Day Concert to remember those who fought and lost their lives defending our county. This year, the show will go on virtually on Sunday evening, May 24, at 8 p.m.

“The National Memorial Day Concert family has become a true community of support for our troops as a means of reaching out to soldiers, veterans and their families and letting them know we care,” according to the concert’s website. “The 2020 National Memorial Day Concert will pay tribute to the men and women who are doing so much for all of us in the current fight against COVID-19, and continue the 31-year tradition of honoring and remembering our troops, veterans, wounded warriors, all those who have given their lives for freedom, and their families.”

This year, the concert with feature filmed tributes by award-winning stars like Sam Elliot, Trace Atkins, Laurence Fishburne and more. The event will be hosted by Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise. The concert will stream on PBS, YouTube and Facebook.
