We have all had toast before. Some may say that there is nothing special about toasted bread, but that is not always true! There are so many ways to give toast an upgrade so that you can enjoy it for any meal of the day! Check out these different recipes so that you can start getting creative with toast!

Hummus and Cucumber Toast

Buy your favorite hummus, or try making your own with chickpeas and tahini. Toast a nice piece of your favorite multigrain bread, spread on a thick layer of hummus and top with sliced cucumber. Sprinkle on salt, pepper and sesame seeds for a nutty touch!

Caprese Toast

Toast a piece of nice ciabatta or focaccia bread to start. (If you don’t have these options, regular bread will do just fine!) Slice up thin slices of cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. To assemble your toast, drizzle olive oil on to your toasted bread and add on alternating layers of tomato and cheese slices. On top, add basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

Classic Avocado Toast

Toast some of your favorite bread. Take a ripe avocado and cut it unto thin slices. Butter your toasted bread, and fan out your thin slices of avocado on your bread. Sprinkle on a generous amount of salt, pepper and chili power on top. Enjoy!

Ricotta and Peaches

On toasted bread, spread on a thick layer of ricotta cheese! Decorate the top with some sliced, fresh peaches. Enjoy this toast in the morning for breakfast or even after dinner for dessert!
