The UF Faculty Senate voted yesterday, September 17, to reschedule spring break for the University of Florida from March 6-13 to January 4-8.
The spring break will now be an extension of winter break for students. Not only will this change hopefully quell potential COVID-19 cases by decreasing travel, but it will also allow for some extra instructional days in March to make up for lost days in the fall. Now, the only day off for students from January to April of next year will be on January 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Because the university rescheduled spring break, students will have off from Dec. 19 to Jan. 11. To view the amended 2020-2021 school calendar, click here! Visit the UF Faculty Senate online for any updates on other scheduling decisions.
