Help Your Community with Bread of the Mighty Food Bank

Bread of the Mighty

As the coronavirus continues to effect communities worldwide, we’re encouraged to shop local and support our community members as much as we can. One way to do this is to support Gainesville’s own Bread of the Mighty Food Bank! They’re a partner distribution organization under Feed America and they collect, sort, store and distribute donated food and basic essentials to 190+ non-profit agency partners, according to their website.

They service five counties in Florida, Alachua, Dixie, Gilchrist, Lafayette and Levy to provide food to these communities and directly feed the hungry.  According to Bread of the Mighty, for every $1 donated, they can provide up to 10 meals.

So how can you get involved? You can donate to the cause online right now on their website, or you can mail them a donation to: Bread of the Mighty Food Bank PO Box 5086, Gainesville, FL  32627.
