Yesterday, ABC News reported new COVID-19 travel rules for incoming US travelers. Travelers will have to provide a negative COVID-19 test that was taken no more than three days before traveling. If travelers fail to do this, they will be denied boarding.
According to ABC News, this travel order was first considered on January 12 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and it was made an executive order by President Joe Biden last week.
“This order is an attempt to mitigate the risk of travelers spreading COVID-19 as new variants of the virus emerge and the country struggles to roll out the vaccine,” said author Mina Kaji in an ABC News article.
