New Year, New You – The 60 Day Challenge

This challenge can be done in any order on any day and as m any times as you want. It is a starting point to rebooting and refreshing your mind and body for the new year! Pick a day and item to try/start, and try to carry that on for the rest of the month, not just the day. It is said that a new habit is formed after trying something new for 21 days!

DAY 1 – Start a gratitude journal

DAY 2 – Compile birthdays of all friends/families to send cards all year!

DAY 3 – Meditate for 5 minutes

DAY 4 – Plant flowers

DAY 5 – Make a $5 donation to any charitable cause

DAY 6 – Eliminate one unhealthy food from your diet

DAY 7 – Add one new vegetable to your diet

DAY 8 – Say goodbye to negative influences in your life

DAY 9 – Build a fire pit

DAY 10 – Cook one new recipe

DAY 11 – Take a walk in a new place

DAY 12 – Start listening to a new podcast

DAY 13 – Limit screen time to 1/2 of your usual

DAY 14 – Call a friend to ask them, “Are you okay?”

DAY 15 – Treat yourself to a massage

DAY 16 – Add one new fruit to your diet

DAY 17 – Cut back on consuming too much caffeine

DAY 18 – Go stargazing

DAY 19 – Visit adoptable pets and give them a hug

DAY 20 – Take a relaxing bath

DAY 21 – Start recycling, if you haven’t started!

DAY 22 – Call your mother! (or other important person)

DAY 23 – Sign up for a class on Lynda.com

DAY 24 – Clean out one closet in your home

DAY 25 – Try your hand at an instrument

DAY 26 – Work on a new yoga pose

DAY 27 – Read a new book

DAY 28 – Challenge yourself to a race

DAY 29 – Play chess

DAY 30 – Paint a self portrait

DAY 31 – Go bird watching

DAY 32 – Stay home and binge movies

DAY 33 – Visit the beach

DAY 34 – Take photos of nature

DAY 35 – Cut out swearing

DAY 36 – Visit a museum

DAY 37 – Stop body shaming yourself

DAY 38 – Start doing sit-ups and pushups each night before bed

DAY 39 – Try your hand at gardening

DAY 40 – Listen to your smart watch and breathe!

DAY 41 – Write love letters to your partner

DAY 42 – Try an at-home dance / Zumba workout

DAY 43 – Reorganize your bathroom

DAY 44 – Schedule all your doctor appointments for the year

DAY 45 – Watch a sunrise

DAY 46 – Start each day with a stretch

DAY 47 – Plan a staycation

DAY 48 – Watch your favorite movie

DAY 49 – Plan a picnic

DAY 50 – Do art!

DAY 51 – Buy yourself a present

DAY 52 – Get a solid 8 hours of sleep

DAY 53 – Try a new restaurant

DAY 54 – Install carbon monoxide detectors

DAY 55 – Switch up your workout routine

DAY 56 – Start a new TV series

DAY 57 – Drink 8 glasses of water

DAY 58 – Find joy and laugh often!

DAY 59 – Cut out excuses
