  • 1 oz of simple syrup
  • 1 tsp orange liqueur or triple sec
  • sugar or salt for the rim of the glass

Instructions:

Add ice, tequila, lime juice, simple syrup and triple sec to a cocktail shaker and shake well. Rim your glass with salt or sugar, add ice and pour your drink.

Margarita Add-Ins

Blueberry Margarita: Muddle some fresh blueberries with the lime juice in your cocktail shaker until your blueberries are broken down. Add in the rest of the ingredients, and shake! Add salt or sugar to the rim of your glass.

Pineapple Margarita: Add three ounces of fresh pineapple juice into your margarita before shaking. Rim the glass with salt, and add a slice of pineapple to the rim for garnish.

Jalapeño Margarita: Slice and deseed a jalapeño. Add two or three slices to your shaker with the lime juice and muddle until the jalapeño is broken down. The more jalapeño you add, the spicier your margarita will be. Add the rest of the classic margarita ingredients and shake as directed. Rim your glass with salt and chili powder for an extra kick.
