UF Football Activities Are Paused

WCJB TV20 journalist Jacquie Franciulli tweeted a statement from UF Athletics Director Scott Stricklin on Tuesday, October 13, saying that all UF football activities are paused starting Tuesday afternoon. Saturday’s football matchup will be rescheduled.

This pause is due to an increase in positive COVID-19 tests among UF football players. As of Wednesday, October 14, the UF vs LSU football originally scheduled for October 17 has been postponed and rescheduled tentatively for December 12. This is in response to the 21 COVID-19 positive players on the UF football team, according to the University Athletics website.
