Theme parks have been reopening across the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic while enforcing new safety measures; however, some of the parks’ attractions have been canceled. For the first time in 30 years, Universal Studios has canceled its annual Halloween Horror Nights.

“We have made the difficult decision to cancel Halloween Horror Nights this year so we can focus exclusively on operating our theme parks for daytime guests, using the enhanced health and safety procedures already in place,” according to the theme park’s website. “We look forward to creating an amazing event in 2021.”

Universal Studios reopened to the public with new safety guidelines and procedures. Some of those guidelines include wearing face-covering while inside the park, temperature checks and enforced social distancing. There is also limited and reduced park attendance, per their website.
