Applications for the Alachua County Cares Act Are Now Open

The Alachua County Cares Act will provide COVID-19 aid, economic assistance and relief. The Federal CARES Act is providing Alachua County with $46.9 million, and this money will be allocated to six main categories in the county, including individual assistance.

Twenty-one million dollars received from the Federal CARES Act will go to individual assistance, according to the county’s website. You can click here to view how the $46.9 million will be allocated to six different categories in the county.

The application for small and medium business grants will open on August 10, and the application for inter-government organization grants will open on August 17, according to the Alachua County Facebook page.
