We are currently in Hurricane season, and recent news has tracked potential tropical storms headed toward the US. Florida is no stranger to severe hurricanes, but it is always important to make sure you are ready for the worst-case scenario every year in case of an emergency! Use this hurricane prep checklist to make sure you and your loved ones are ready for any storm that comes your way.

Hurricane Prep Checklist:

◻︎ two weeks supply of medication, medical supplies used regularly and a list of allergies

◻︎ Flashlight and batteries

◻︎ Radio

◻︎ Cash

◻︎ First aid kit

◻︎ Non-perishable food (enough to last at least one to two weeks)

◻︎ Can opener

◻︎ Disposable eating wear (paper plates, napkins, forks, spoons)

◻︎ Toilet paper

◻︎ Water (one gallon per person, three-day supply)

◻︎ Watertight container for important documents (insurance records, social security cards, birth certificates, banking info, personal documents, etc.)

◻︎ Full tank of gas

◻︎ Important phone numbers

 

COVID-19 Supplies:

◻︎ PPE (face masks)

◻︎ hand sanitizer and disinfectant

 

Stay informed online and through local/national news to know when your area will be in danger of a hurricane.
