Find Out Which Florida State Parks Are Reopening

Now that Florida is starting to reopen, that means that Florida State Parks are reopening, too!

Florida parks started to reopen last week after Phase One of reopening Florida began. “DEP has implemented phase one to reopen the Florida State Parks. As these parks are re-opening, DEP will be taking measures to ensure the protection of staff and the public,” according to floridastateparks.org.

You can find a full list of Florida State Parks that are reopening by visiting this link. Local parks like Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park, Dudley Farm Historic State ParkGainesville to Hawthorne State Trail and Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park are all on the list.

It is still encouraged to practice social distancing guidelines while at these parks and not gather in groups larger than 10 people. Florida State Parks says to keep six feet away from others when possible and avoid hugs or handshakes.
