Movie lovers have been patiently waiting for theaters to reopen since the onset of COVID-19, and Regal movie theaters have just announced that they will begin opening up their doors on July 31.
“Reopening plans include a wide range of new health and safety measures based on guidelines provided from the CDC and other public health organizations,” according to Regal’s website. “The plan also includes safety measures based on feedback received from employees and moviegoers they have deemed most important for their return.”
Some health measures include requiring all guests to wear masks until they are seated in the auditorium. Hand sanitizer will be easily accessible and auditorium capacities will be reduced to 50%. Also, contactless payment for tickets and concession items will be available.
Contact your local Regal movie theaters on July 31 to find out when each location will be reopening.
